Meet Courtney Nied:
Founder of The Rising Heart and lead trainer for Pure Life CR
Courtney Nied is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and world-traveling soul guide who has been teaching for over a decade. With a background in alignment-based power yoga, somatic embodiment, and shadow work, Courtney helps students move beyond self-doubt and into deep self-trust—on and off the mat.
She’s led international retreats, created teacher trainings across the globe, and developed programs for studios like Black Swan Yoga, Beach Town Yoga, Kootenay Yoga, and more. Her classes blend dynamic strength with grounded wisdom, and her teaching style is known for being raw, real, and deeply empowering.
Courtney believes yoga is a path to remember who you are—and her mission is to help others reclaim their voice, their body, and their truth through movement, mindfulness, and a whole lot of heart. When she’s not leading trainings, you’ll find her exploring hidden corners of the world with her pup, Kora, and reminding everyone that freedom isn’t found—it’s felt.

Meet Ashley Heugatter:
Ashley has been practicing yoga since 2007 and teaching since 2014. Her practice began after undergoing chemotherapy for stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Yoga and meditation strengthened her awareness and connection with her intuition, which guided her to healing. She is an ERYT 500 with Yoga Alliance International and continues to learn from her teachers in India.
Originally from Texas, she has been living in Costa Rica for 10 years, embodying a healthy lifestyle and organic way of living. She loves multiple styles of yoga, including but not limited to kundalini, hatha, vinyasa, power, yin, and restorative.
Global informations
Flight
Flights to Costa Rica are not included in your package and must be booked separately. Please purchase tickets to San José, Costa Rica (SJO)—arriving the morning or early afternoon of May 16th, 2026.
We recommend booking 60–90 days in advance and tracking prices with Google Flights. From the U.S., expect to pay $450–$800 round-trip if booked wisely—anything under $500 is a great deal.
Tip: Check baggage policies before booking. Packing light can save on luggage fees.
Meals
Our YTT culinary experience is one of the highlights of our training—and something our guests always rave about! We cater to all dietary needs and focus on serving meals that truly nourish and energize you. Each morning begins with a health-boosting super smoothie to kickstart your day. We avoid all processed foods, most of our dishes are gluten-free, and every meal features fresh, raw plants as a key ingredient.
On arrival night, we’ll gather for a big, welcoming family-style dinner. For the following 15 days, breakfast will be served at Villas Jacquelina, and lunches will either be enjoyed on-site or at carefully selected local restaurants.
When dining out, we often savor a traditional Costa Rican casado—a hearty and wholesome plate of rice, beans, fresh salad, vegetables, and your choice of protein (fish, chicken, beef, pork, or extra vegetables).
Airport transportation
We provide two complimentary shuttle pick-ups from San José International Airport (SJO) to Villas Jacquelina on May 16th:
-
Morning Shuttle: Departs around 10:00 AM
-
Afternoon Shuttle: Departs around 3:00 PM
-
Times may adjust slightly to accommodate arrivals, so it’s best to book a flight that aligns with one of these shuttles.
For departure on May 31st, we offer two shuttle drop-offs from Villas Jacquelina to SJO:
-
Early Shuttle: Departs 5:00 AM (arrives at airport ~8:00 AM)
-
Late Shuttle: Departs 8:00 AM (arrives at airport ~12:00 PM)
We recommend booking afternoon or evening return flights. If your flights don’t match our shuttle schedule, you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to/from Quepos
What to bring ?
We’ll be in a warm, tropical climate with plenty of sun, humidity, and water activities, so packing light is key. Think breathable fabrics, comfortable light clothing, and plenty of bathing suits. You’ll have access to a reasonably priced laundry service at the hotel, so you can re-wear your favorites without overpacking.
The hotel provides bath towels, but we recommend bringing a lightweight travel towel for the beach and excursions. A reusable water bottle is a must to stay hydrated throughout the day. And of course—don’t forget your yoga mat for training sessions!
