Who is
Ana PAULA?
Ana Paula began her detailed and profound professional study of the body in movement 20 years ago. The journey began with contemporary dance and from there has evolved into different artistic, wellness, sports and martial arts practices.
She has presented her artistic work and pedagogical experience in institutions and groups of different regions of Costa Rica, as well as Nicaragua, Brazil, Guatemala, Italy, Perú, Bolivia, USA, Mexico and El Salvador.
Ana Paula is a graduate of the first generation of the El Barco Conservatory, which was part of the National Dance Workshop and the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica. She has received training in different contemporary dance techniques, in addition to other movement styles, body therapies and movement pedagogies with important National and international masters. In 2022, she receives the certification as a Trainer for inclusive performing arts trainers taught by ConCuerpos in Colombia.
Her training as yoga instructor is based on three certifications in the Kasasana (2012), Yoga Mandir (2014), Yoga Inclusivo Costa Rica (2021), schools for a total of 800 hours.
As a masseuse, she was certified in Integral Massage for Spa by the Kasasana School, which is recognized by the National Institute of Learning (INA for its name in Spanish). In Thai massage she is certified with 160 hours from the Sunshine Network school in association with International Society of Yoga Thai Massage, as well as Yoga Mandir school and Massage Therapy from Santa Paula University.
Her main motivation is to create awareness of movement as a universal right, as well as enjoyment and wellbeing accessible to all.
Ana Paula is currently studying Physical Therapy at Santa Paula University

Location information
For the 6 nights of this retreat, you will be staying at Villas Jacquelina, a treehouse-style boutique hotel located in Quepos, Manuel Antonio.

Flight
Flights to Costa Rica and not included in your package. You must purchase your flights yourself and should look for flights that will arrive in San Jose Costa Rica (SJO) in the morning or afternoon. (Be careful not to book a flight to San Jose California (SJC))

Meals
We will have a big family dinner on the night you arrive. For the next 5 days, we will be served breakfast at Villas Jacquelina and will either have late lunches at Villas Jacquelina or eat out at local restaurants. If we eat at restaurants, we will normally be served a traditional Costa Rican meal consisting of rice, beans, salad, vegetables, and your choice of protein (fish, chicken, beef, pork, or additional vegetables). We can normally account for all dietary requirements.
Airport transportation
We will supply two airport shuttle pick-ups from (SJO) to Villas Jacquelina. One will leave (SJO) around 1 pm and a second will leave around 6 pm. Times may fluctuate to accommodate guests but best to arrive at a time that will correspond with our airport pick-up.

We will supply two airport shuttle drop-offs from Villas Jacquelina to SJO. One will leave before daybreak (5 am) to get you to the airport by 8 am. The second will leave around 9 am to get you to the airport by noon. Times may fluctuate to accommodate guests please book an afternoon or evening flight. (If you book flights that don't correspond with our shuttle times, you will be responsible for your Transportation to Quepos)
What to bring ?
We will be in a hot and humid climate and regularly in and out of water. Best to pack light with a lot of bathing suits and light clothing. The hotel offers a fairly priced laundry service to wash clothing. The hotel will provide towels but bring a lightweight towel you can take off-site and a reusable water bottle.
